The TM Forum Business Metrics Automation Certification program enables software suppliers to gain an independent assessment of their solutions’ conformance to the TM Forum Frameworx Business Metrics Automation standards. The certification program not only speeds service providers’ ability to access reliable, real-time benchmarking data, but it also reduces the time and cost of the overall procurement process by allowing service providers to instantly select products that conform to TM Forum Business Metrics standards.
The Business Metrics Automation Certification program certifies that a software supplier’s product is able to interact securely with the TM Forum Business Benchmarking database, including uploading data for the specified standard metrics in the correct format, generating queries, and downloading the query results.
Unlike vendor-specific or proprietary solutions, Business Metrics Automation-conformant solutions provide data for industry standard metrics, enabling meaningful comparative data and ensuring consistent, ‘apples-to-apples’ comparisons for both benchmarking studies and internal dashboards. For the purpose of Business Metrics Automation Certification the TM Forum standard metrics have been grouped into areas such as Revenue Assurance, Billing Calculation, Fulfillment Service Order Management, and Customer Problem Resolution. Certain metrics are required for certification against each Metric Group, others are part of an optional extended group. The Metric Groups are described in this document.
