Awarded to the Communications Service Provider who demonstrates the most effective use of TM Forum Interface Standards, Best Practices or Solution Frameworks (NGOSS) as part of a transformation project, delivering real value to the business. Eligibility
This award is open to any TM Forum member Service Provider with an existing application of TM Forum interfaces, frameworks or business guidelines which has resulted in cost savings, increased revenue or improved customer retention for a communications service provider.
The transformation project must at a production stage by 31 December 2008, and utilize one or more of the following TM Forum solutions:
- TM Forum Solutions Frameworks (NGOSS), including:
- Business Process Framework (eTOM)
- Information Framework (SID)
- Systems Integration Framework (TNA)
- Application Framework (TAM)
- Revenue Assurance Guidebook
- TM Forum Prosspero software interface
- Any other current TM Forum Best Practice or Standard
Judging Criteria
Judges will be looking for verification of the following:
- Which TM Forum standard business practices or components were used and how?
- How has the use of TM Forum best practices delivered real business value for the Service Provider (e.g. reduction in time to market, reduction in project risk, operational expense savings, increase in revenue, savings through process automation, etc.)?
- What positive impact has this had on business and/or operational excellence, or end user quality of service?
- Has feedback from use of these solutions been provided to the collaboration teams responsible for their development, helping to continuall improve the value of these solutions to all members?

Qualified nominees will be announced by Friday March 20. An expert and impartial judging panel will review all entries, announcing finalist entries by early April 2009.
The winner will be announced as part of the Excellence Awards ceremony at Management World 2009 in Nice, on Wednesday May 6 2009.
