2008 Excellence Awards
Awarded to a supplier or system integrator who demonstrates the most effective use of TM Forum Interface Standards, Best Practices or Frameworks as a part of their product offering to the market, delivering business value to the supplier and their customers.

For the first time, this year the Best Practices Award for Suppliers will be voted through a combination of open member voting and selection by our expert judges. Entries agreed by the judging panel to meet the eligibility criteria below will be put to an open vote from the TM Forum’s service provider members comprising more than 200 global service providers.

Eligibility


This award is open to any TM Forum member Supplier or System Integrator that has an existing application of TM Forum Interfaces, frameworks or business guidelines as part of a product, service or methodology. 

This must have been implemented in a product by 31 December 2008 and utilize at one or more of the following TM Forum solutions:

  • TM Forum Solutions Frameworks (NGOSS), such as the Business Process Framework (eTOM), Information Framework (SID), Integration Framework (TNA) or Application Framework (TAM);
  • Revenue Assurance Guidebook;
  • TM Forum Prosspero software interface;
  • Any other current TM Forum Best Practices Guidebook

Judging Criteria
Judges will be looking for verification of the following when confirming the nominees:

  • Which TM Forum standard business practices or components were used and how?
  • How has product or solution has delivered real business value through the use of TM Forum best practices and standards?
  • Has the use of these standards contributed to improvements or extenson of the best practice/standard?
  • How the customer has benefited (in terms of reduction in cost or project risk, time to market, process automation, etc) from using TM Forum standard business practices embedded in a solution?

Qualified nominees will be confirmed by Monday, March 23. Finalists from the first round of voting by member service providers will be announced during April 2009.

The winner will be announced as part of the Excellence Awards ceremony at Management World 2009 in Nice, on Wednesday May 6 2009.
