The TM Forum technical program is intended to generate NGOSS solutions that have a coherent structure today and a seamless migration to the future, which adhere to a common architecture. This requires an ongoing holistic treatment of architecture and methodology across the entirety of the technical program. Today, there are a number of separate architecture teams and activities that are not coordinated and as a consequence are likely to diverge.  Several activities do not have an active architecture consideration even at the detailed level.  The “Architecture Harmonization” team was constructed as a result of the recognition of this need for coherence.
