To ensure that the NGOSS Architecture is delivered in a timely and cohesive manner, the NGOSS Architecture Board:
- Is responsible for prioritizing the identified technical efforts,
- Has authority to create NGOSS Architecture Technical Working Groups to work technical areas or issues and produce deliverables on behalf of the NGOSS Architecture Board,
- Has authority to manage and direct the work activities amongst the Technical Working Groups, as well as with other TMF teams collaborating with the NGOSS technical teams.
The membership of the NGOSS Architecture Board will be composed of:
- Team Leads of the standing NGOSS Technical Programs (e.g., eTOM, Lifecycle and Methodology, SID and Compliance),
- Lead of the Working Groups commissioned by the NGOSS Architecture Board,
- “At large” members identified for their expertise and ability to advance the NGOSS Architecture.
Project success criteria include:
- The development of a common NGOSS Architectural Framework, which unifies the NGOSS constituent projects (eTOM, SID, Lifecycle, Architecture and Compliance) and guides users in the analysis, design and production of NGOSS compliant solutions.
- Positive feedback on use of the NGOSS Architectural constructs (e.g., Use Case, Contract, Component) and Services (behavior & control, framework, security) by the Catalyst Projects, the NGOSS Compliance Team and other NGOSS Project Teams.
- Acceptance and use of the NGOSS Architectural style of OSS/BSS development by Service Providers, Independent Software Vendors and System Integrators as a key framework for the design and development of a deployable NGOSS Solution and integration with their current business and technology development processes.
