NGOSS Lifecycle

The NGOSS Lifecycle project is identifying and developing an NGOSS lifecycle process/architecture/ methodology that provides a framework for the definition, design and development of an NGOSS-based solution using the NGOSS elements (eTOM, SID, Architecture, Compliance). In addition, this project is addressing integration of NGOSS lifecycle process with user processes for management of their business and technology lifecycles.

 NGOSS Lifecycle and NGOSS

Description of Lifecycle and Methodology for Using and Deploying NGOSS-Based Solutions Within an Organization.

The eTOM process framework, the SID, and the NGOSS Architecture form the basis for a holistic business driven OSS development approach that covers process definition, system design, solution implementation and solution deployment.  How to use these components to develop an NGOSS based solution is defined by the NGOSS Lifecycle.  NGOSS recognizes, in general, four views on OSS/BSS development: business requirements, system design & modeling, solution implementation and service operations. The purpose of the NGOSS Lifecycle is to frame the bridging of the knowledge, activity of interests and inputs/outputs represented by each of the four views and thus make them a traceable and re-useable asset to the company.
