Nice 2003

This catalyst project will demonstrate the execution of transactions across shared provider interfaces, with each provider implementing emergent standards for ‘public’ interfaces. The project will examine the task routing requirements of inter-SP task allocation using knowledge of instantiated services and partner providers to identify task routing and allocation to ‘owning’ SP, and will examine issues such as workflow execution tracking and non-repudiation.

The purpose of this “NGOSS Compliant Catalogue” Catalyst project is to define and implement the NGOSS Compliant Catalogue that will comprise a list of products and solutions that have been certified as NGOSS-compliant during the Nice 2003 TMW show. The products and solutions listed in the Catalogue will be certified as “NGOSS Powered”. This Project is strictly a Proof of Concept.

The Product Lifecycle Management with NGOSS Catalyst Showcase aims to illustrate how TM Forum’s NGOSS concepts and standards can be leveraged to dramatically improve the processes and systems related to building and releasing new products, with the appropriate product information automatically driven to the right operations systems and catalogs in the network.

The PROviding Fast InnovaTive Services (PROFITS) Catalyst Showcase demonstrates rapid service introduction, including aspects of the service development required for service fulfillment, assurance and billing. This is accomplished by use of an enhanced service model that integrates high-level services with the underlying network and related business process items. The service model will be demonstrated in the context of the appropriate TM Forum enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM®) processes for a selected set of scenarios.
