The TMF Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Technical Program is a strategic industry initiative focused on defining a lifecycle centered environment for management of CSP product information. The environment will be compatible with TMF NGOSS Architecture, eTOM, SID and TAM principles. Given the increased pressures of competition and customer demands, PLM has emerged as an essential discipline that CSPs will need to adopt to better differentiate products and execute product-based business strategies. The technical program will combine best practices from automotive, aerospace and hi-tech manufacturing, along with CSP needs for domain specific data models, processes and application integration, to develop a comprehensive set of recommendations for PLM within the CSP industry.
