Synopsis

The 3rd Annual Revenue Assurance Maturity Model Survey defines a consistent framework for assessing the maturity of a service provider’s revenue assurance business, determining revenue assurance business priorities, and identifying a strategic path to improve delivery of revenue assurance.

As a service provider, you know the importance of revenue growth and solid profitability — and the important role your revenue assurance team plays in your ability to achieve corporate performance targets. A strong revenue assurance organization with mature processes can help you find and address revenue leakage from existing and new services, assuring that all the profit reaches the bottom line.

The Revenue Assurance Maturity Model Survey assesses service provider revenue assurance maturity against a 5-step model in the areas of:
  • Organization: How well-aligned the objectives of individual staff and the business as a whole are to revenue assurance goals
  • People: The human resource dedicated to revenue assurance or secondary support
  • Influence: The ability to instigate, manage, and deliver change proactively
  • Tools: The use of tools to aid and automate revenue assurance
  • Process: High-level and detailed revenue assurance processes
Past surveys have shown that service providers around the world are rapidly adopting the TM Forum Revenue Assurance Maturity Model and its principles and that the industry is maturing along all model dimensions simultaneously.

Last year’s survey found that service providers have generally taken a balanced approach to staff and automation expenditures. Automation is increasingly justified as a low-cost alternative to manual tasks, especially given more effective vendor price negotiations and delivery of efficient new functionality.

By participating in the 2011 study, service providers can compare their own performance to their industry peers and use the study results to:
  • Establish meaningful transformation objectives
  • Set near term improvement goals based on their competitive landscape
  • Identify and prioritize investments to yield optimal improvement in business performance
Participating service providers receive individualized reports showing their performance on each metric and have secure access to broader results and statistics in the benchmarking database. This is an ABSOLUTELY FREE service to Service Provider members of TM Forum — a $50K value!

A report with aggregated study results is available for a fee to nonparticipating service providers, and to suppliers as part of a paid Gold Revenue Management subscription.
