Best Trade Show Marketing Campaign

This Award recognizes the creativity of Service Providers, Suppliers, System integrators and Network Vendors marketing OSS, BSS or related solutions or strategies via a trade show marketing campaign. Entrants will be judged on their ability to clearly differentiate their products, services or strategy from competitors through the use of trade show channels.

Eligibility

This category is open to all TM Forum member companies. Marketing campaigns must have first been launched after 1 January 2006 or will be launched before 31 December 2006.

Entry Deadline: 31 January 2007, 5pm EST.

Judging Criteria

The judges will be considering a number of factors including:

  • Effectiveness of the overall marketing campaign and use of multiple forms of promotion – graphics, multimedia, collateral, sponsorships, promotional ‘give-away’ items, product launch, correlation with other marketing channels (i.e. web site, Webinar, email blast, etc.)
  • Marketing campaign had clearly defined marketing objectives
  • Creativity in how message was conveyed
  • Effectiveness of messaging, graphics, supplementary promotional channels
  • Product, service or brand appeal
  • Quality of the trade show campaign (not quantity of shows attended)

Submission Requirements

Entrants will be required to answer the following questions:

  1. Name of the product, services or strategy associated with the trade show marketing campaign
  2. Main marketing message and tagline/theme as applicable (1000 characters = 170 words or less)
  3. Describe the overall marketing campaign, the theme, the trade show channels used to distribute this message to the target audience, who the target audience was, specific items used -- collateral, sponsorships, give-away items, multimedia, etc. (2000 characters = 240 words or less)
  4. Describe where the campaign was used and why. Was it used at multiple trade shows? Was it used at a particular show to appeal to that target audience? Was it used in conjunction with other channels, such as web site? (1000 characters = 170 words or less)
  5. Statistical evidence to demonstrate the success of the campaign such as number of sales leads collected and closed, increased awareness, take up and/or enhanced revenues within a given time period (1000 characters = 170 words or less)
  6. Graphics, PDFs, photos or screen shots of marketing materials from the trade show campaign with descriptions where necessary. Judges will be looking at quality of submissions not quantity. (2000 characters = 240 words or less)
