Alan Burkitt-Gray has been Editor of Euromoney Institutional Investor’s magazine, Global Telecoms Business, www.globaltelecomsbusiness.com, since December 2000.
Global Telecoms Business specializes in reporting and analysing the management strategy of telecommunications operators worldwide, by interviewing the CEOs and other leading executives and in providing news and analysis for senior management in the industry and for the financial community.
The magazine includes a regular series of CEO and CFO Guides to key topics affecting the industry, including operators’ plans for NGNs, and runs a number of seminars and conferences aimed at C-level executives in the industry. It also runs the annual Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards, presented to the most innovative projects in the telecoms industry worldwide.
With a degree in physics and electronic engineering from the University of Leeds (UK), Alan has been a business and technology journalist for over 30 years, writing for most of that time for publications covering telecommunications, broadcasting, IT and electronics, as well as working with radio and TV programmes and writing and contributing to a number of books. He lives with his family in London.
In 1992 he set up a monthly magazine, Cable & Satellite Communications International, which he edited for three years. He then spent five years as editor of Government Computing magazine, before being recruited by Global Telecoms Business.
