 Zenas has been involved with high-tech venture companies since 1981. Before forming Vesbridge, Zenas was St. Paul Venture Capital’s Co-Managing General Partner and the Managing General Partner of the N+ITI group within SPVC. Zenas joined SPVC in 1997 and during his tenure at SPVC, was responsible for investments including Vivo Software (acquired by RealNetworks, 42x return), Granite Systems, Acopia Networks and GeoTrust.
Prior to joining SPVC, Zenas was an independent consultant and turnaround specialist in the high-tech arena for nearly twenty years, serving as a senior advisor or board member to over 35 companies and taking the role of CEO at CAECO, Vivo Software and Control Automation and board member at PictureTel, Natural Microsystems and Concord Data Systems all of which had very successful exits. He started his career at Bain & Co. (1979-81) and BoNY (1975-78.)
When he’s not busy helping raw start-ups with hardcore technology get off the ground, Zenas can be found sailing his trimaran, racing International One-Design sailboats, hunkering down in a duck blind, or spending time with his family.
