Management World is the leading global event focusing on the creation, delivery, management, and monetization of new world information, communications and entertainment services. For the 2009 event we will bring together industry experts from the mobile, fixed line, cable, advertising and media/ entertainment industries to look to the future, as well as practical lessons learned from the past.

There will be particular focus on today’s volatile and changing economic climate and its effect on reducing costs, finding new business and keeping our customers happy. We will also examine the digital value chain, the changing roles of its participants and how they can all make money.

In 2009 Management World will be structured into five separate summits each providing unique insights. The five summits are:

The Digital Media Value Chain Summit will look to the future to see how the information, communications and media worlds are coming closer together; what this new world will look like, who will play what role and how to be profitable. It will investigate the relationships and interdependencies needed to create and deliver next generation services. End-to-end management of new content-rich services and how they are being delivered to new service aware devices will also be examined, as will the effect of advertising and its impact across the entire digital value chain. More

Charging & Revenue Management Summit will focus on charging for new services quickly and accurately and the implications for doing so within a changing revenue value chain. The summit will examine personalized revenue models, online charging, revenue assurance best practice, combating fraud, benchmarking and performance KPIs. New and different charging models which enable revenue to be collected in a multitude of ways will also be reviewed. More

Customer Experience Summit is all about the customer and focusing on a personalized and compelling service in the future. The summit will investigate data and existing assets in order to better understand your customer’s needs and their experience. Insight into your end customer’s needs and requirements is essential to target and market effectively and accurately. Understanding the entire customer engagement cycle is imperative to ensuring high-service quality, exceeding your customer’s expectations and creating long term loyalty. More

Business Transformation Summit will examine the existing economic climate and its short and long term effects on the entire value chain. Subjects such as outsourcing and managed services will be investigated as ways of coping with a changed economy. The summit will also investigate next generation transformation; what we have learned and what is next in the migration to all IP networks. Cloud computing and cloud storage will be discussed as will the role of regulation and how we can eliminate risk through change management and business process models. More

Technology Transformation Summit will feature what role technology is playing in transforming the value chain. We will look at practical lessons learned from existing implementations and their ramifications. We will look into industry standards and frameworks and how they are helping to deliver new services to market quickly and accurately. Development of the TM Forum’s Solution Frameworks (NGOSS) towards Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Service Delivery Frameworks (SDF) will be analyzed to understand how they are being used in the real world to enable transformation. More

We will be looking for contributions that help support each of the five summits with presentations that combine practical case studies with hard facts and evidence as part of their solution. As always preference is given to proposals that directly involve a mobile, fixed line, cable, advertising or media/ entertainment service provider.

We are looking to you to develop exciting and innovative ways of presenting content to our audience. A traditional presentation is effective but so too is a panel discussion, demonstration, debate, “an audience with style” 1 on 1 interview or a joint submission bringing together a number of complementary players in the value chain.

We encourage your creativity in the submissions. Make sure your session description is unique and relevant for the audience and that it contains the structure of the session as well as proposed content. This is your opportunity to stand out from the crowd, so take it! Collaborate with your customers and business partners to develop a more detailed and interesting look at a subject. Normally a typical presentation is 30 minutes and we allocate 40 minutes for a panel, however if it’s a good proposal we will give it the time it needs. You could even come up with a proposal for a whole 90 minute session.
