Hewlett-Packard Communications and Media solutions help service providers transform the customer experience and achieve operational excellence through improved service delivery, customer intelligence, billing and operations support systems, as well as mobile and media offerings.

 

In the past year, Hewlett-Packard has taken a number of sponsorships with TM Forum, as well as participating in a variety of other activities in the organization.   Here is an overview of their activity and experiences of working with TM Forum by Ananda Subbiah, VP Industry, Hewlett-Packard.


Please outline the various sponosrships you have taken in the past year
“Hewlett-Packard sponsor a number of activities during the year.  What we find is that each of these individual seminars, events, publications and webinars address a different set of people within the community.”

What value do you derive from working with TM Forum?

"The great thing about working with the TM Forum is that it is an organization which is continually evolving to meet the market needs.  It is not static organization.  The TM Forum has evolved into a number of critical components:

  • Clear marketing branch we can work with and understand how do we actually go and communicate to our customers;
  • A body which looks at what is the vision for the next two years and how we can contribute to that vision;
  • A collaboration program for the technical community to get together, share ideas, solve problems."

What plans does Hewlett-Packard have for the future?
"We see the TM Forum being a very key part of our future. For us it is very critical that we associate ourselves with an organization like TM Forum to evolve that [converging] framework; to understand what that framework is goign to be for these new organizations; to understand how these new organizations are going to work with each other; to deliver the value back into the community."
