The Collaborative Business Process Management (CBPM) Catalyst Showcase project is focused on finding a common solution to the issues identified in Value Chain Issues Facing the ICT Industry Technical Report (TR128). As telecommunication services become more complex, inter-provider management interface provision becomes increasingly complex and costly.  Today, we see service configurations varying based on service options and locality, geography and territory, point-to-point, between varieties of providers.

This Catalyst Showcase project demonstrates the execution of transactions across shared provider interfaces, with each provider implementing emergent standards for ‘public’ interfaces.  The project examines the task routing requirements of inter-SP task allocation using knowledge of instantiated services and partner providers to identify task routing and allocation to ‘owning’ SP, and examines issues such as workflow execution tracking and non-repudiation. It will also consider the types and nature of SLAs in complex supply chains, and demonstrate the monitoring of these SLAs during the processing of inter-provider repair and service restoration cycles, and in the activation of back-up services.
