Project Team: IPDR Billing

This Catalyst Showcase project explores the effectiveness of using the IPDR standards for the accounting interfaces between the network, provided by Swisscom, and business management layers. IP usage data is collected by a network probe in real time and then sent to two mediation systems for processing; Lucent's BILLDATS and Hewlett Packard's SIU . Accounting data from the mediation systems is then transferred to Lucent's Arbor/BP billing platform for bill generation. Network data is also sent to the Lucent's IP Data Analyzer for real-time analysis. Finally, invoice data generated by the billing platform is sent to eDocs' eaDirect online account management system for web based presentment and payment.
