The Catalyst program is the TM Forum’s innovative approach to rapidly launching and creating leading-edge solutions. Based on Service Providers most pressing requirements, teams of system integrators and suppliers collaborate on a solution that culminates in a series of live demonstrations.
These demonstrations utilize off-the-shelf products combined with existing standards and emerging technologies to create solutions which are demonstrated at Management World events. The results are used to accelerate development of TM Forum best practices and standards for use by the industry at large. Besides serving as a ‘proving ground,’ Catalysts also enable Service Providers to gain real-world insight in a compressed time period to help guide strategic investment decisions. The Catalyst presents the first commercial implementation of TMF615 “OSS Operator User Management” deployed in a multi-vendor OSS environment. For other systems currently not yet supporting the standard a trouble ticket is created via JSR91 “TIP Trouble Ticket Interface” to support the manual procedure for user provisioning. This approach allows an integration of such systems into the process chain.
