The Catalyst program is the TM Forum’s innovative approach to rapidly launching and creating leading-edge solutions. Based on Service Providers most pressing requirements, teams of system integrators and suppliers collaborate on a solution that culminates in a series of live demonstrations.

These demonstrations utilize off-the-shelf products combined with existing standards and emerging technologies to create solutions which are demonstrated at Management World events. The results are used to accelerate development of TM Forum best practices and standards for use by the industry at large. Besides serving as a ‘proving ground,’ Catalysts also enable Service Providers to gain real-world insight in a compressed time period to help guide strategic investment decisions.

Effective Sell of Advanced Network Services and Solutions
Enterprise networking solutions are composed of complex service offerings that change dynamically and are configured uniquely for each customer. Typically the disparate sales and implementation processes for service providers are lengthy, and inefficient. Additionally, customer proposals are inaccurate often resulting in high fulfillment rejection rates. The objective of the project is to create a framework, consistent with TAM, which streamlines the sales process of solutions including equipment, deployment, communication, and managed services (e.g. MPLS, Unified Communication). Another objective is to create an accurate and orderable quote and to facilitate a smooth Order to Cash (fulfillment) process by enabling collaboration and integration between Sales Management and OSS.
