| | | What is the Frameworx Architecture Solutions Team (FAST) Group?
The Frameworx Architecture Solutions Team – FAST - (formerly TIP A&TC) is set up to ensure technical consistency across all aspects of the Frameworx and to facilitate harmonization of the various TM Forum work activities. This work is designed to strengthen the consistency of TM Forum deliverables and to assist in reduction of the cost of deployment by members. It operates under the governance of the Product and Architecture Governance Team (PAGT) and the Technical Committee (TC). The TM Forum Frameworx Product Management function has been set up to identify and manage the Frameworx Roadmap of solutions that have a coherent structure today, and a seamless migration to the future, while adhering to a common architecture and supporting the TM Forum migration to Service Oriented Enterprise (SOE) Supporting the Product Management capability the Frameworx Architecture Sub Team is responsible for recommending solutions to: -
Provide architecture, technical and methodology leadership across the TM Forum; -
Manage the technical governance of the TM Forum Frameworx architecture; -
Resolve technical roadblocks in the execution of the Frameworx Roadmap; -
Address technical conflict amongst the Frameworks; -
And act as independent neutral advisory function to the Technical Committee, Product Management and the Collaboration programs. The results of the FAST actions are expected to include: -
Normative architectural artefacts enabling a uniform Service Oriented Environment (SOE) for Frameworx -
A single, adaptable, standardized solution environment that supports all necessary service operations across the entire range of needs for a converged network, operations and business continuum. -
A solution environment that supports the evolution of OSS/BSS needs through growth and change in network and service capabilities, and through the evolution of implementation technologies. What are the deliverables?
1. Frameworx Technical Roadmap 2. Framework meta-models including Business Services (BS) 3. Roadmap for Frameworx and TIP alignment with Business Services(BS) 4. Multiple views and versioning 5. Frameworx Architecture 6. Toolkit for e2e Frameworx process 7. Rationalizing standards harmonization work 8. Combined program of work ( cross frameworks actions) 9. Technical support for the PAGT and Collaboration Program Note models and tools for Business Services are within the scope of this work but concrete definitions of Business Service, GB942 and GB 945 will be progressed under a new Business Services team with in the TIP Integration program.
