Specifically targeting the systems 'integration tax' pressure on operators and service providers, nine major mobile suppliers teamed up with the TM Forum to drive open management standards. Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, Motorola, NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortel, Samsung and Wipro joined forces to drive implementation of a common architecture for mobile network management.
Since July 2008 CO~OP is part of the TM Forum Interface Program (TIP). The work related to CO~OP is carried out by the TIP Enterprise Identity Management team.
