| Threat Detection and Mitigation - As part of the effort to assure network service reliability, AT&T analyzes Internet traffic behavior for leading indicators of network attack activity and tracks the behavior of malicious activities such as botnets. The presentation will outline some of the unique analysis techniques in use and will discuss some recent examples of network security events and trends. Techniques that can be used to help identify and control these threats will be included in the discussion.

| | Cloud Summit | Standards & Cloud Management - With the Move towards Cloud Computing, the eTOM has a lot more to offer to Cloud Service Providers (CSP). Most CSPs with roots in the IT domain tend to lean on the ITIL framework for additional SP capabilities. This paper defines and discusses how the eTOM framework is more applicable as a CSP business framework and ITIL as a good 'control' framework. Secondly the ITIL framework is not only applicable in the Enterprise Management layer of eTOM, but is also equally applicable in the other layers of eTOM. Discussion is presented in the context of projects from the defense industry.

| Situational Awareness in Policy Based Collaborative Networks - This presentation explores the relationship between policy and situational awareness and how standards such as advocated by TM Forum enable policies and situational awareness to be applied across ad-hoc collaborative networks in a real-time approach. This case study with the US Army will show that collaboration by joint forces leads to the need for have the capabilities to support SA across these entities Several examples will be provided to solidify the concepts presented.
