Overview:
The OSS/J Common API Version 1.5 defines a set of Java classes and interfaces that can be applied to the J2EE platform for the specification of EJB-based network, service and business management building blocks. The Java definition is the most detailed integration profile of this API but the XML and Web Services integration profiles define the same level of functionality in their respective technology domain.
This API specifies the common base for client interfaces for OSS applications. An OSS through Java application, or building block, is an assembly of components providing a specific service for a specific management area, i.e. Trouble Ticket, Service Activation, Performance Management, Fault Management etc. It also describes the foundation for a data model by defining, modelling and implementing core concepts, including products, services and resources etc. that represent the upper layers of a generic information model within the OSS domain. This is called Core Business Entities (CBE).
Profiles available for Java, XML, WS. These are included in the download file for the specification. | | | | | | | Business Aides | | Use Cases | | The Use Cases describe how the Trouble Ticketing Solution is used in implementations. | | | Submit a Use Case | | Collateral
