The Common API Specifications define a set of modeling patterns suitable for the specification of network, service, and business management interfaces for OSS applications. Also included is a set of Java interfaces and XML schema that are the common base for such applications. In addition, this document describes the foundation for a data model (Core Business Entities or CBEs) by defining, modeling, and implementing core concepts—including products, services and resources, etc. that represent the upper layers of a generic information model within the OSS domain.
