Many of the TM Forum's technical teams meet during Team Action Week to further their work on a particular project.  Team Meetings will be held during the whole week.  The meetings are open to all members.  If you want to learn more about a particular team go to Technical Programs or contact Libbey Scheible at lscheible@tmforum.org for more information.

Catalyst Program Meeting
Meetings Dates: Tues, July 16, 8:30 am
This one day meeting is intended for all Catalyst team members (technical and marketing leads, as well as Catalyst team representatives).  This meeting covers the overall goals and objectives of the Catalyst program, as well as detailed program logistics.  This meeting provides each of the Catalyst teams with as much information about the program in order to successfully complete all the technical requirements and marketing deliverables.

 

Catalyst Walk-Through Meetings

Thurs, July 18, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Catalyst walk-through meetings are open to all members.  These meetings are intended to give members a chance to learn more about the approved Catalyst projects that will be showcasing at the upcoming TeleManagement World event.  During these meetings, each Catalyst team will present a general overview of their project including case scenarios, high level description of their demonstration and their overall marketing strategy. 
 
eTOM Team

The eTOM team is responsible for capturing and representing business requirements in the form of business process models, within both the tool-based eTOM model and the recently approved eTOM document (GB921).  The eTOM represents a total enterprise business process framework, which supports a service provider's e-business enterprise and provides systematic process decompositions, flows and descriptions. These process descriptions, including high-level definition of information requirements, are a key link to the systems context work of NGOSS.

Shared Info/Data Model Team (SID/SIM)

The Shared Information/Data (SID) model team will provide the industry with a common model in order to achieve integrated management of components. By agreeing on a common set of information/data definitions and relationships, the team will set forth a common model to be used in the definition of NGOSS solutions.

NGOSS Powered Compliance Team

This team has been established to provide stewardship and guidance in the formation of the industry-wide NGOSS Compliance Project. They are responsible for all aspects of the project including validation of market requirements and value proposition, examination of the technical feasibility of performing NGOSS compliance testing at the commercial product/solution level, , and the analysis/recommendations on commercial, procedural and logistical aspects of setting up such an industry-wide program.

Red Team

The Red team will address the technical aspects of 'Making NGOSS Real'.  This team will focus on the technical challenges of completing the NGOSS technology neutral architecture requirements and specifications, in particular the TMF053 series of documents.
 

System Team

The System team will focus on steering the work efforts of a selected group of mini-projects tasked with developing NGOSS Business, System and Implementation view artifacts.  In addition, the team will lead a project to revise the System Integration Map (SIM). This project will revise the Concepts and Principles Guidebook, GB914, incorporate material from the current SIM, GB915 draft, and further align the team's objectives with the eTOM initiatives. This project will also assist in transitioning more detailed material from the SIM, to the Shared Information Data (SID) team for inclusion in their document.
 
Mobile Market Center (M-MC)

The mission of the Mobile Market Center is to identify and drive resolution of issues relating to the operations and management of 2G, 2.5G, 3G and other future wireless networks within the TM Forum.

Value Chain Market Center (VC-MC)

The mission of the Value Chain Market Center is to identify and drive the resolution of issues associated with establishing service delivery supply chains in support of the information and communications market.  It is primarily focused on business-to-business relationships between actors such as complementary, retail and wholesale service providers as well as, equipment providers, 3rd party distributors, and trusted 3rd party intermediaries in supplying communications services to end customers.

IP Network Management Team (IPNM)

Multi Technology Network Management Team (MTNM)

The objective of the Multi-Technology Network Management team is to create an UML-based interface between the NML and EML, which provides a scalable and non-proprietary network management solution, where multi-vendor, multi-technology management systems interoperate an open architecture.
 
SLA Management Team (SLA/QOS)

The Service Level Agreement and Quality of Service team has produced the SLA Management Handbook-GB 917 that addresses SLA management with respect to the customer to service provider interface.

Wireless Service Measurements Team (WSM)

The objective of the Wireless Service Measurements team is to identify service measurements needed to monitor 2G+ and 3G networks and define how these measurements can be derived from network measurements.  The project will identify service measurements where the customer is the end-user of the service, or the customer is a service provider.

 
Industry Group Advisory Board (IGAB)

The Industry Group Advisory Board (IGAB) is a collection of TM Forum members who are active in both TM Forum developments and also developments within at least one other Industry Group. Collectively, IGAB is then able to give advice to the rest of TM Forum on the positioning of its developments in relation to the work in these other Industry Groups. The operation of IGAB should lead to more coordinated and efficient industry development and less industry confusion. Membership of IGAB is on a selection basis which is dependant upon the individual's active contributions to Industry Group developments.
