TM Forum produces frameworks and business guidelines. This award will be given to a Service Provider for recognition of leading application of these standard business practices. 

Eligibility

This award is open to any Service Provider that has an existing application of TM Forum frameworks or business guidelines as part of a standard process or methodology. 

The application of these standard practices must be part of current operating procedure by 31 December 2007 and based on one of the following TM Forum models:

• eTOM
• Revenue Assurance guidebook
• SLA Management
• Business Benchmarking
• GBA Benchmarking
• SID
• TNA 
• Business process framework (eTOM)
• Information Framework (SID)
• Applications Framework (TAM)

Judging Criteria

Judges will be looking for verification of the following:

• Which TM Forum standard business practices or components were used
• How well and to what extent was this standard practice applied in comparison to its intended application and what extensions, if any, were applied
• Contributions to the enhancement of industry best practices above and beyond the frameworks
• How the applications of the business practice methodology delivered real business value for the Service Provider
• What positive impact has this had on business and/or operational excellence or end user quality of service

Submission Requirements

Entrants will be required to submit information on the following areas:

1. TM Forum standard business practice adopted (see under 'Eligibility')
2. Describe how this standard practice was applied and the extent to which it is used and as applicable any extensions that were added. Information such as for what applications or business processes this standard practice was applied to, to what extent this practice is utilized (entire company, regionally, etc.), and for what length of time it has been in use. (1000 characters = 170 words)
3. Evidence that the adopted practices are used as part of day to day business. (1000 characters = 170 words)
4. What real business value has been delivered as a result of utilizing this TM Forum framework or guideline in relation to the Service Provider’s business? (1000 characters = 170 words)
5. Has this had a direct impact on business and/or operational efficiency or end user quality of service and if so, to what extent? Quantifiable evidence, such as financial savings or gains, may also be included. (1000 characters = 170 words)
6. How has this work contributed to the enhancement of industry best practices above and beyond the framework? (1000 characters = 170 words)
