This document provides the global telecom software industry with a frame of reference to understand the relationship of the multitude of operational systems typically found within a service provider or network operator. It is intended to be a practical, everyday working guide for those organizations who buy or sell operational systems to help position and navigate a complex landscape. It is not intended to be prescriptive so that operators are required to implement this approach. However it does provide a ‘lens’ to use to compare their current implementations with an idealized approach. The document can also be used by suppliers to help position their products in relation to a common reference framework. For further information on the Application Framework (TAM) click here
