Read through the discussion threads, attend an upcoming meeting, post a question or share an idea.
Investigate the current projects and find one that is most relevant to you and your company and sign up to participate.
An alternative way to find current projects is to visit the Collaboration Community and on the left hand menu, click on projects. Then visit the 3rd tab over which is the projects directory tab and you can search or filter there to find projects that interest you.
When you ask to participate in a project, you are agreeing to operate under TM Forum’s IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) policy and we will automatically ensure you have your company’s approval to participate.
If your company has provided blanket approval for anyone to contribute to collaborative projects, you will be prompted to agree to the IPR terms and gain access to the project immediately. If not, a message will be sent to your IP contact telling them you have asked to participate in the project and once you are approved you will gain access to the virtual project area.
Once you are in the virtual project area you will have access to the contributions and work done to date and the overall project plan and charter. From there, you can work with the project lead or TM Forum staff liaison to determine at what level it is appropriate for you to be involved given your available time, expertise and the stage at which you’ve joined the project.
You may have intellectual property and ideas you’d like to share. You may just want to observe or review materials as needed. You may decide that you’d like to lead a project team or champion a community. The choice is yours.
