How can I participate?

TM Forum offers multiple levels of participation and commitment in the Collaboration Program:

Community PeopleJoin the Conversation: 
Get started in the online Community by using the content, providing feedback, sharing your experiences and joining in the discussions.  Participation is open to all TM Forum members.
Join the Online Community



Community Points LevelsJoin a Collaboration Project: 
Engage in projects that are relevant to your business – whenever you can and on your terms.  We are always looking for new insights. You can also start a new group or new area of interest in an existing group.

Platinum Contributing MemberBecome a "Contributing Member": 
Commit resources to Frameworx projects that are designed to meet the TM Forum board's strategic objectives. This committed level of participation has specific marketing and business benefits for your company.

Participate in a Catalyst Project:
Join a 4-6 months demonstration project that results in a multi-vendor solution based around TM Forum standards and best practices.  Service Providers actively participate in defining requirements and use cases.

Steps for Starting your Participation in the Collaboration Program:

1. Explore the TM Forum website to find what is relevant to you and your company
Read through the TM Forum’s Best Practices and Standards and Initiatives web pages to learn about the frameworks, models, guidebooks and more from the Collaboration program and identify which are most relevant to your company's business.

2. Read about the kinds of contributions you can make
Contributions range from simply posting an idea to submitting something you did in your company to a formal contribution to a standard. Learn more

3. Learn about the style of projects we do
We have informal interest groups, very formal development groups, and everything in between. Learn more

4. Learn about the Participation Levels and benefits
We offer participation at multiple levels.  In general, the higher commitment you can make, the higher the benefits to you and your company will be. Learn more

5. Explore the Communities
Visit the online Communities to see the recent discussions and work of the groups.

6. Join the Communities that interest you
Register for the online communities you are interested in. Make sure you check off settings that will let you get email communications from the community.

7. Look for an activity that matches your skillset
Read the Want Ads for the teams you register for to see the specific help the team needs.
Look for information on upcoming conference calls with the team, if you are interested in joining a call. Learn more

8. Make your first community posting
Make a posting to introduce yourself to the team, ask a question, post a thought or make a contribution.

9. Contact the Team Leader or TM Forum staff person with any questions
Use the contact button on each team’s page to introduce yourself and reach out to the team leader on how to best get started.
