This demonstration showed video and entertainment service providers how subscriber information, demographic data, and service information can be accessed and shared in order to qualify customers to enable lucrative advanced advertising offerings that can help them to effectively compete against new media business models.

Targeted advertising campaign for different laptop models
  • Two separate customers order the same VoD movie which includes opt-in for targeted advertisements.
  • Each customer uses Ebay via the set-top box for interactive searches
  • Each customer watches separate TV channels, based on their particular to interests
  • The video service order is fulfilled and each views a targeted advertisement based on each customers service package, search history, channel selection, and demographic data.
  • Each customer later uses yellow pages application via set-top box and a targeted banner ad appears based on the above information.
