CableLabs®, a primary user of the IPDR technology, has released their DOCSIS® 3.0 specification. As part of this release, they expanded the scope of data transported by IPDR and modularized it so that it could be more selectively processed. This resulted in an evolution of the thinking about how IPDR sessions should be handled. The document changes captured in this release reflect that thinking and also include a cleanup of some outdated text that was noticed during these edits.

The Release Notes provide guidance on the various documents that comprise an IPDR Technical Specifications release by describing the contents and the correct versions which make up the release.
