TMF861, IP Network Management/IPTV Services IIS

This project considers the issues involved in managing IP services, specifically IPTV services in heterogeneous environments. The project demonstrates the use of increasing intelligence in the network devices, enabling subscriber enabled policy creation, to help service providers bring new IP services to market much faster and in a cost-effective manner.

Through the use of these standards, NGOSS design principles and COTS OSS applications; the project showcases the reusable architecture that enables the rapid introduction, activation, and accounting for IPTV services.

For demonstration capabilities, this project employed applications from multiple vendors integrated through standards-based interfaces to roll out new services, keep and active inventory of both network devices and subscribers and their access policies, monitor the health and availability of the network resources, and provide the accounting support required to bill for new services.
