The Interface Program consists of two types of teams:
- Coordination Teams: they provide governance, technical oversight and marketing across the entire program
- Product Teams: they either provides the details concerning features or consolidates features into deliverables
Coordination Teams
The current Interface Program coordination teams are as follows:
- Steering team – handles a variety of items concerning the overall management, direction, change control, marketing, and product lifecycle processes for the Interface Program
- Technical Coordination team – handles the technical coordination across all the Interface Program working teams
Product Teams
The current Interface Program product teams are as follows:
- Framework team – is responsible of templates, tools and guidelines that are commonly applied to all interfaces produced by the program
- Implementation team – is responsible for the development of software components that can be used for developing reference implementations and conformance tests for the interfaces. An open source project has been set up with the goal of reducing the development time of these components
- Product Delivery team – is responsible for handling the packaging and delivery of the interfaces which include both new interfaces and interfaces from the original programs (mTOP, OSS/J, CO~OP, and IPDR)
- Feature Design Teams – provide details feature definitions including requirements, use case, information model and interface specifications:
- Resource Management team – handles the specification of features related to specific types of resources such as technology-specific networks (e.g., management of T-MPLS), equipment and external plant entities
- Service Management team – handles the specification of features related to specific types of services such as VoIP, IPTV and VPNs and other strictly service-level management items such as Subscription Management
- Interface Integration and Delivery (IID) Teams – are responsible for the preparation of unified specifications (including reference implementation and conformance test kits) using output from the Feature Design teams:
