To address the many concerns that companies from all parts of the communications value chain have about the state of the industry during the global financial crisis, the TM Forum is adding a very special keynote panel that will take place alongside the other keynote addresses below.

The panellists will address questions on issues such as:

• What service providers should do to weather the economic slowdown
• Whether operators should put a freeze on spending or continue their investments and roll out new services
• How service providers can improve their competitive position during trying times

Panellists will also discuss how service providers can work their way out of the downturn and will ask if there are any services that are considered “recession-proof” and how to leverage them.

Keynote Address: "I will be discussing the important place IT has in enabling the quad play future.  As telecoms and cable companies work to provide a full suite of communications access and as we make the most of that access by fulfilling the vision of creating and delivering media and content wherever and whenever the customer wishes, the IT organization becomes both more challenged and more critical.  IT organizations must rise to meet these challenges head-on.”

Biography:
Mr. Brace joined Rogers in February 2008 as Senior Vice President, Information Technology (IT), responsible for IT application development, infrastructure and operations for Rogers wireless, cable, internet and home phone services.

Prior to his role at Rogers, Mr. Brace was the Vice President of Customer Billing Services at Sprint Nextel in Overland Park, Kansas where he managed all customer billing operations and applications servicing Sprint’s 54 million customers throughout the United States. Mr. Brace held a similar position with Nextel Communications prior to its acquisition by Sprint in 2004.

Biography:
Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi is chairman and CEO of Divvio Inc., a Web portal that allows users to build personalized “channels” of digital content by leveraging the best and most advanced adaptive learning technologies and Web 2.0 community behavior. He is also chairman of 2020 Venture Partners, which provides technology and operations consulting to private equity firms and venture capitalists in the area of telecommunications infrastructure.

Dr. Eslambolchi holds over 800 worldwide patents – Issued, Pending and in preparation - and was named as one of the most prolific innovator and visionary in communications industry and was named “Inventor of the Year” by the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame in 2001.

Dr. Eslambolchi was previously the President of Global Network Technology Services at AT&T Labs and was also the Chief Technology Officer of AT&T Corporation and Chief Information Officer of AT&T Business.

Eric Pulier, Executive Chairman, SOA Software Inc

Biography:
Mr. Pulier has been a pioneer in the software and digital interactive industries for over 15 years. In 1997, the Presidential Inaugural Committee selected Mr. Pulier to create and execute the Presidential Technology Exhibition in Washington D.C. Subsequently, the President and Vice President personally unveiled his company’s work for the Starbright Foundation, and Mr. Pulier became an advisor to the Vice President on National Health Care initiatives for the Family Reunion Conference. The most successful and best-known venture capital groups in the world have financed companies that Mr. Pulier has founded or co-founded. He has been instrumental in establishing ground-breaking technology companies in several sectors including media management (IVT), Professional Services (US Interactive), voice systems (VoiceTap), and peer-to-peer networking (Mediator). As Executive Chairman of SOA Software, Mr. Pulier devotes himself to a singular focus: the standards-based real-time enterprise. Recently named one of 30 e-Visionaries by VAR Business, Mr. Pulier is a popular public speaker at premier technology conferences around the globe. He is a member of the board of directors for the Center for Telecommunications Management in Los Angeles.

Biography:
Madhusudhan leads the Customer and services Operations group for Tata Communications supporting Service Delivery, Service Assurance, Field Operations, Technology and Operations of IT/Infrastructure Services. He also leads the Billing and Collections group. He is responsible for global support of the Data & Mobile, Voice and Broad Band Business units of Tata Communications.
 
His key focus is to enhance the service capabilities and customer facing activities across the globe. He is a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from University of Visweswarayya College of Engg., Bangalore, India. He has also undergone 6 weeks course in CSM-California (Lucent Deputation).

His professional carrier spans over 20 yrs in Telcom and IT, with BPL, AT&T, Lucent & Tata Communications in various leadership roles spanning engineering, network operations and customer service. He has had successful stint responsible for spearheading rollout and operations of GSM, CDMA, NGN & MPLS networks across the globe.
