On 1 July 2005, Mr Solomon (“Sol”) Trujillo joined Australia’s leading telecommunications company, Telstra Corporation Limited (Telstra) as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to joining Telstra he was CEO of London-based Orange, the first American to lead a CAC-40 company; President and CEO of US West Dex Inc.; President and CEO of US West Communications; and CEO and Chairman of US West Inc.

Mr Trujillo holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in business and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wyoming. He was granted honorary doctorates from both the University of Wyoming and the University of Colorado. Mr Trujillo was the first native-born Hispanic-American to serve as CEO of a Fortune 150 company.

Dr Paul Reynolds was appointed Chief Executive of the Telecom Group on June 28 2007, effective from 27 September 2007. His previous role is as CEO of BT Wholesale in the United Kingdom. Paul joined BT in 1983 after completing a doctorate in geology at the University of London. He has had a distinguished career, encompassing senior leadership roles in sales and marketing, strategy, information systems, broadband, and guiding BT's wholesale business through the complex process of operational separation, when Openreach was created. He served on BT's Board of Directors from 2001. In 2006, the Telecommunications Industry Association of America awarded him its 'Global Icon' award for his leadership and innovation.

As co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the TeleManagement Forum, he has been the driving force behind its continuous evolution and. Currently Managing Partner at Mandarin Associates Ltd. in the UK, he consults with companies on a wide variety of business development issues. He previously held executive positions at BT and TCSI. A regular presenter and writer, he co-authored the highly influential book, “The Lean Communications Provider”. His achievements have been internationally recognised, being honoured twice in the Communications Week “Top 25” awards for industry visionaries, the British Computer Society award and the BT Gold Medal.

As Executive Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer for Paramount Pictures Dr. Bell is responsible for leading the company’s efforts and strategy to best take advantage of advances in technology across a broad range of business areas centered on the preparation, distribution and consumption of digital motion picture content and related derivatives. Dr. Bell’s current areas of interest include the development of next generation digital distribution methods and emerging applications for internet-based communities, high definition disc formats, digital home entertainment networks, stereoscopic display and the technologies and issues associated with digital content rights management.

Previous to joining Paramount Pictures, Dr. Bell was Executive Vice President, Technology at Warner Bros. Technical Operations. He was centrally involved in the unification of the DVD format and the development of CSS.

Martyn Warwick has been a telecoms journalist for more than 20 years. Currently the Editor-in-Chief of TelecomTV, he both writes on global telecoms and IT related issues and conducts Web-broadcast TV interviews with senior telecoms executives all over the world.

Prior to his present position, Martyn was launch editor of The Euronet magazine, Editor-in-Chief (for 10 years) of Communications International (then the biggest magazine of them all) and editor-in-chief of Middle East Communications, Asian Communications and Broadcast and Satellite magazines. He also worked with the Phillips Group in the Netherlands and Groupe Bull in France.
