New Services in Cable Summit

Fueling New Revenues
New Services in Cable
About the Summit: As more tablet-style devices explode onto the scene for cable subscribers, cable operators must ensure that they can adapt their operating environments in a timely manner, without jeopardizing service delivery and quality. As the customer experience becomes more entwined with transforming technologies like tablets, there emerges a new set of requirements for integration into the cable OSS/BSS environment. This Summit will explore using the TM Forum Frameworx suite of standards to help support new cable services while reducing risk, as well as the proper governance and approach to ensure that constant innovation is grounded in operations, supports new business models, and ensures a positive customer experience.

Managing Business Integration with IT
Managing Business Integration with IT

Com Hem (a play on the Swedish phrase kom hem – come home) is the largest multi-service operator in Sweden, offering telephony, broadband and TV services. It is connected to about 40 percent of Swedish homes through coverage of 35 cities and has 1.77 million subscribers. Delivering value to shareholders and customers, while transitioning operations and integrating new companies is a big task, particularly in such an IT-centric company. Standards, including TM Forum’s Frameworx, have played a crucial role in Com Hem’s success throughout these many changes.  As pioneers in adopting Frameworx to Cable Operations, ComHem has innovated with Frameworx alignment with  the adoption of LEAN [a process improvement discipline originally applied to manufacturing] throughout the organization has made a tremendous difference to ComHem’s ability to deliver change. In software development, the adoption of LEAN has led us to implement an organization providing a continuous flow of change, improving the way we work continuously, and constantly reducing waste,

Mr. Berg will present their approach to OSS/BSS transformation and systems integration to align IT with Business Goals with Frameworx

Stefan Berg, CIO, Com Hem AB
