TM Forum Frameworx: Working Meeting on Meta-Model and Business Services

Monday, December 3: 8:00 - 5:00 pm
This working meeting is designed to advance the Frameworx meta-model which encompasses the Business Process Framework (eTOM), the Information Framework (SID) and the Application Framework (TAM) plus Business Metrics and Interfaces. The Frameworx meta-model help users of the Frameworks understand what constitutes each Framework and how the Frameworks interrelate Business Services are a critical output of the Meta-model and a combination of Frameworx processes, information and application language. They are an important advancement in the development of plug and play interfaces and enable a high level of re-use across implementations, substantially decreasing integration times across systems and deployment time for new services. During this meeting, the team assembled will be working to define detailed elements of the model and document examples of the business services that can be derived. Cable Cocktail Reception

Reducing Cost, Effort and Risk With Procurement Best Practices

Come enjoy lunch and a panel discussion with leading communication service providers, analysts and suppliers. The focus will be on the latest trends in procurement and best practices being applied to reduce the cost and effort of procurement processes, lessening the burden of “integration tax” and mitigating risks. One of the topics being explored will be the use of process oriented RFPs and the positive impact this has on the procurement cycle. The panel will be moderated by George Greenlee, SVP Service Provider Engagement, TM Forum and include speakers from Analysys Mason, Charter Communications, Oracle, Tribold and one other major communications services provider.
