Antti Ohrling
Co-founder, UK CEO, Blyk


Antti is co-founder and inventor behind the idea of Blyk, the youth engagement media company. Antti has over 25 years experience as a senior manager in branded goods, retail and wholesale, TV& film and advertising industries.

Antti is also founder of Contra Advertising Group, which since spring 2009 is part of Touch Worldwide. He continues as chairman of Contra China, an advertising agency specializing in social media marketing, based in Beijing.

Antti is a Fellow at RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Art, Manufactures and Commerce, UK) and is a regular at lectures on innovative business strategies and brand issues for international audiences. 

Antti will discuss:
  • The changing consumer behaviour and stiff competition that is dramatically altering telecoms and media landscapes
  • New business models that are vital for future profitable growth and strong market leadership

Sigve Brekke
Executive VP, Telenor Asia

Mr. Sigve Brekke is the Executive Vice President and Head of the Telenor Asia operations in September 2008.
Mr. Brekke joined the Telenor Singapore office in 1999 as Manager Business Development and later Managing Director. Mr Brekke served as co-Chief Executive Officer of dtac from 2002 to 2005, and Chief Executive Officer of dtac from 2005-2008.

Prior to joining Telenor, Mr. Brekke served as the Deputy Minister (State Secretary) of Defence in Norway in 1993, and has also held position as an associate research fellow at John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in the USA.

He is the Chairman of Digi.com Berhad (Malaysia) and Grameenphone Limited (Bangladesh). He serves as the Vice Chairman of Total Access Communication Pcl, Thailand and is a Director in Unitech Wireless in India.
Mr. Sigve Brekke holds a Master degree of Public Administration, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. 
Dr. Hyunmi Yang
Chief Strategy Officer of Personal Customer Group, Korea Telecom

Ms. Hyunmi Yang is the Executive Vice President and CSO of the Personal Customer Group (PCG) of KT Corp. She became the first female officer to be appointed as the Executive Vice President of KT Corp.

She is in charge of Business Strategy of PCG (formerly KTF). Prior to her appointment, Ms. Yang was the Chief Marketing Officer of ShinHan Bank.

Ms. Yang received BS and MS in Mathematics from Seoul National University and Ph.D in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from State Unviersity of New York, Stony Brook.

Ms. Hyunmi Yang started her career in the financial industry at the American Express Co., USA, responsible for Marketing Strategy and Customer Loyalty, approaching with special insight for customers by utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods.

As the noted expert in the marketing industry, ShinHan Bank recruited her to be its Chief Marketing Officer and Ms. Yang took the responsibility of Marketing Strategy, Customer Care, Loyalty Program and Product Development in 2007.

In June 2009, with the merger of KT-KTF, KT was re-organized into three company-in-company structure and KTF became the Personal Customer Group and Ms. Yang joined KT Corp as the EVP and CSO of PCG to lead the corporate & marketing strategies.

Ms. Yang is also a steering member of Asia Pacific Marketing Forum.

Michael Lawrey
Executive Director - Network & Technology, Telstra

Michael has more than 39 years’ experience in telecommunications across a diverse range of areas including construction, planning, engineering, operations, enterprise customer unit and service.

His telco expertise draws on an extensive background working mainly within Australia but also with vendors overseas and at two US service providers.

He has particular strengths in operations, planning, architecture, design and the engineering capability for Telstra and as Head of Network & Technology, a role he commenced in May 2008, he has been instrumental in the wireline transformation of Telstra.

Prior to his current role, Michael was the Executive Director Network Services for five years. His responsibilities covered the operations and maintenance of Telstra’s networks for mobiles, fixed networks, broadband, satellite, transmission network infrastructure and managed services. In November 2007 he won the CEO award for Executive of the year.

Michael also holds two external positions including a Director role for the Telemanagement Forum and Director 3G Infrastructure Sharing entity that is 50% owned by Telstra. The Telemanagement Forum is a global industry body that that works with suppliers and service providers in setting the strategic direction and standards for the industry.

Michael has a Diploma in Electronic Engineering, a Diploma in Industrial Electronics and has completed the AICD Company Directors Course. He is married with two daughters and has a keen interest in the community.
Khoong Hock Yun
Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Infrastructure and Services Development Group, IDA


Mr Khoong Hock Yun is responsible for developing and building critical national infocomm infrastructure and next generation services to generate economic and social growth for Singapore. He leads the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network programme as part of the iN2015 masterplan to develop Singapore into an Intelligent Nation, powered by infocomm.
David Storrie
Chief Executive Officer, Nucleus Connect

A veteran in the telecommunications industry with more than 30 years of working experience, David leads Nucleus Connect, a wholly-owned subsidiary of StarHub.
Prior to joining Nucleus Connect, he was with StarHub since 1997, where he was part of senior management team leading the operations of fixed, mobile and cable networks, and charted the division's strategic technology directions, as well as International Carrier Relations and Domestic Wholesale services.
David has a Degree in Business Management and Electrical Engineering.
