The TM Forum is the industry body for the global communications industry. It has more than 700 member companies in over 195 countries, including all the major carriers and all the leading equipment and software Vendors. Prior to joining the TM Forum Martin held a number of executive positions with Motorola and British Telecom. | Saiful Alam, Group Chief Commercial Officer, Expresso Telecom Saiful Alam is the Chief Commercial Officer at Expresso Telecoms Group - responsible for marketing, sales and customer care across the group (currently with operations in Senegal, Mauritania, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea Conakry). The early part of his career was with One2One (later T-Mobile UK). He then spent 6 years in senior marketing roles at Vodafone UK. Prior to joining Expresso he was a management consultant over the past 4 years, specialising in Telecoms in the MEA region. Active in advisory roles, and has also held interim executive roles at Zain, du, Atheeb, BT, Sudatel. Javed Mushtaq has over 23 years of domestic and global experience in IT. He has more than 6 years telecoms experience, during which time he worked in one start-up and in one of the oldest and largest service providers in Pakistan. Before joining PTCL as SEVP/CIO, he was the CIO of Warid Telecom. Prior to this, he held senior positions across the healthcare and banking, as well as leading IT projects within the government and police departments of Punjab. |
| Evolving IT architecture to serve as an effective business enabler 11:10 a.m.  | Emad Shafik, Vice President Technology Enterprise Architecture, du Emad has over 19 years of diversified IT and Telecoms experience, having worked for multiple start-ups and established operators. He joined du in 2006 where he established and drives the IT architecture function, as well as other functions in technology. Since the company’s launch, Enterprise architecture was a cornerstone for du’s integrated customer experience as well as its competitive and agile go to market strategy. Emad’s experience also includes establishing web presence, OSS, Payments, Billing, CRM, Integration, Enterprise Support systems as well as Quality Management. Eugen Schulz is Chief Information Officer of QTEL International, the management division across the QTEL Group. He joined QTEL International in 2008. Prior to joining QTEL International, Mr. Schulz worked for 5 years as IT-Management-Consultant for different telecommunication providers in the EMEA region. From 2001-2003, Mr. Schulz served as Chief Services Officer at Croatian Telecom Inc. Before that, he worked from 1994-2001 as Executive Director, IT at T-Mobile Germany. Tushar Maheshwari has over 20 years of commercial experience, including 13 with blue chip telecom companies in Africa, Asia and South Central Asia. His distinguished career is highlighted by strong management and operating performance, and an impressive record of commercial and business development contributions. Tushar was appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Starcomms, Nigeria’s largest 3G CDMA operator in August 2009. As the CCO of the Company, Tushar is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s overall commercial strategies, as well as realization of overall revenue targets. Prior to joining Starcomms, Tushar held senior executive positions at companies including, Bharti Airtel and Warid Telecom Uganda. | | | | | |
