Square Hoop’s VAZIR Catalogue will showcase in three Catalyst collaborations at TM Forum’s Management World 2010, Nice 18th to 20th May 2010. Square Hoop will present within the Forumville area of the expo as part of three Catalysts: Cloud Services Broker, IPsphere – Bringing Quality to the Cloud and Defence: Rapid Communications Deployment.
Catalyst Champions include:
- BT for the Cloud Services Broker (CSB) Catalyst
- Telstra, Telus, Deutsche Telekom and Telenor are for the IPsphere Catalyst.
- NATO, dstl and IPsphere Forum lead the way on the Defence Catalyst
Square Hoop’s participation in the three different Catalysts demonstrates the adaptable and versatile nature of the VAZIR Catalogue solution.
Square Hoop role in the Cloud Services Catalyst is to orchestrate what is presented to the end user through its VAZIR Product Catalogues, by aggregating 3rd party and partners’ products, services and billing information to create a simplified view for customers. VAZIR’s adaptability provides an aggregated view of a complex cloud offering in an easy to use form, playing a central role in orchestrating product offering based on the partners’ service and billing catalogues and order portals.
The IPsphere Catalyst, “Bringing quality to the Cloud”, will demonstrate the orchestration of a premium cloud-hosted service. The aim of the catalyst is to show how far the team has come to reaching the TM Forum goal of delivering production-ready solutions that:

- Decrease operating expense
- Define a universal framework for B2B partnerships
For the third and final Catalyst, the Defence Catalyst, Square Hoop provides the VAZIR Service Catalogue and product lifecycle management (PLM) toolset, to enable policy-driven development and instantiation of services in a dynamic environment. VAZIR Catalogue will receive services published from the service catalogues of multiple parties and enable Mission Planning users to combine these functions into more complex policy-driven services. VAZIR will be used to activate network services based on event mechanisms of the distributed system, service and network policies and enables the creation, management and distribution of these policies to various points in the system.
