The Most Innovative Supplier award is open to any Supplier or System Integrator company who has demonstrated exceptional thought leadership and innovation in the use of technology. This can include new, innovative application of existing products, development of new product features within a product or application, an extension to a product or application, or means that expand the boundaries of OSS or BSS related solutions and greatly improve Service Providers ability to offer new next generation services. This award is designed to encourage innovation in the OSS and BSS related industry by recognizing the positive impact of these developments on the proliferation of new services and improvement in operational excellence.
Eligibility
This category is open to all developers, suppliers, application vendors, network vendors, system/solution integrators of OSS and/or BSS related solutions.
Entries can only be submitted for products that are field trial ready. The product features, application, or technology entered must be in a field trial ready state after 1 January 2006 or will be before December 31st 2006.
Entry Deadline: 31 January 2007, 5pm EST.
Judging Criteria
The judges will be looking for verification that the entry demonstrates:
- highly innovative and original thinking in an OSS or BSS related product, application, service or technology concept
- clear benefits for service providers offering next generation services
- service quality improvements or cost reductions in overall operations or in OSS/BSS infrastructure/process improvements, strongly leveraged by the innovation
- applicability to Service Providers across the global marketplace
- ease of implementation
- How the customer engagement process has improved in addition to new services that the Service Provider has offered
Submission Requirements
Entrants must answer the following questions:
- Name of product, service or technology innovation
- What does your innovative product feature, service or technology provide to your customers? (1000 characters = approx 170 words)
- Describe the features or characteristics of your product, service or technology that are, in your opinion, particularly innovative or original? Specifically, have any patents been taken out on it (or pending)? (1000 characters = approx 170 words)
- What are the principal benefits for Service Providers or users of your product, service or technology when it is deployed? For example, cost reductions, performance enhancements, unique new services for operators or users etc. (1000 characters = approx 170 words)
- How will your product, service or technology enhance/improve the deployment of next generation services, the customer engagement process, and/or operational excellence? (1000 characters = approx 170 words)
- Dependent on whether the product is field trial ready or commercially available, please provide information on either the current uptake by customers or on the estimated commercial potential for this product. (800 characters = approx 100 words)
