Billing is about the customer. It has moved from a back office function to a strategic role within an organization. Billing must now be a key component in the management of customers, enabling product bundling, allowing a single view of the customer and driving the fast introduction of new, billable products and services. Using the Business Process Framework (eTOM) as a reference tool, this course will provide a complete understanding of the environment that will support charging, rating and billing converged for next generation services, applications, content and third party products (two sided business models).

Closely allied to any revenue generating function is Revenue Assurance and this overview is aligned to the analysis and proactive investigation of data and processes that impact the revenue stream. The objective is to identify errors and inefficiencies which contribute to a lack of quality in the fundamental elements upon which revenue and profit are generated. Data is the currency of the telecommunications world, and processing this data accurately enables maximum financial benefit for the Service Provider, especially with regard to the many new types of products and services now being offered from multiple sources to a CSP’s customers.

This combined course is ideal for new practitioners of billing and RA, management keen to understand operations in an area they may have little knowledge of and anyone with an interest in how revenues are generated, collected and ensured. No previous knowledge of billing or revenue assurance practice is required.
