Tri-Summit Format Addresses Critical Communications Topics

As the leading event focusing on the management, monetization and operations of cutting-edge information, communications, entertainment services, Management World Orlando is featuring three summits that will address the critical questions of getting new services off the ground in today’s highly competitive environment.

The Transformation Summit will explore how business and IT transformation enables service providers and their partners to remain competitive in a dynamic marketplace. It will also address the challenges facing the mainstream telcos and cable players who have been working diligently to drive costs out of their back office and are now looking at instituting a bigger-picture transformation to ensure their future success. So rather than just focusing on the importance of cost-cutting, we’ll also look at opening up opportunities for revenue enhancement across these organizations.

This summit will feature presentations on TM Forum’s core frameworks including the Business Process Framework (eTOM), Information Framework (SID) and Application Framework (TAM). These are the central building blocks for anyone who wants to travel down the transformation route.

The Transformation Summit agenda is broken down into several in-depth modules: Business Transformation Strategies; Business Models; Business Process Frameworks, Data Models and Product Catalogs; IT Transformation and ROI; Service Oriented ArchitectureA computer systems architectural style for creating and using business processes packaged as services; Service Delivery Frameworks; Mobile & Wireless; Defense Networks & IT Infrastructure Management; NGOSS Transformation Case Studies; and eTOM/ITIL Integration.

Service Provider speakers include AT&T, BT Group, Deutsche Telekom, Korea Telecom, Telecom Argentina, Telefonica, TeliaSonera, Telkom Caribe, Telstra, Telus and Vodafone D2.

The Revenue Management & Customer Experience Summit will examine important aspects of charging for and gathering revenue for a new generation of services, as well as how customer experience becomes a foundation to a successful and profitable service. Covering everything from end-to-end customer experience management to real-time convergent billing, the summit agenda will include tracks on Billing & Charging; Revenue Assurance; Customer Experience – How Well Do You Know Your Customer?; Linking Customer Experience to Revenue Growth; and Assuring Customer Experience.

Service Provider speakers include AT&T, BT Group, Cricket Communications, Qwest Communications International, Sunrise Telecom, Telecom Personal, Telefonica and Verizon Communications.

The Digital Commerce & Advertising Summit will examine the management and monetization issues for delivering cutting-edge digital media services across the content lifecycle, from creation to consumption. The summit will take that even further and delve into how advertising will impact traditional communications and bring the worlds of communications and media closer together.

Supporting TM Forum in its effort to solve the challenges inherent in the increasingly complex digital value chain – including unlocking revenue growth potential for communications service providers and significant new opportunities for advertisers and broadcasters – are OgilvyOne and the NAB Show.

OgilvyOne, a global leader in customer relationship marketing and interactive marketing, will provide guidance and chair advertising sessions during the Digital Commerce & Advertising Summit as well as bring innovative ideas about how advertising can change business models and unlock revenue potential.

The partnership between TM Forum and NAB Show will shine a light on the opportunities and challenges that content owners and communications service providers face during the lifecycle of next-generation digital services.

Another key aspect of the Digital Commerce & Advertising Summit is the broad participation from companies outside of the traditional telco space. This includes speakers from several major cable companies worldwide, including Cablecom, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable and Videotron as well as satellite provider DIRECTV. Other Service Provider speakers include Aliant, BT Group, Deutsche Telekom, Qwest Communications International, Swisscom and Verizon Communications.

In addition, attendees will hear from a number of other companies outside the traditional realm of telecom, such as Hard Rock Café and Hotels, Motion Picture Association, McGraw Hill Companies, Joost, Buongiorno, Signiant, Front Porch, NDS, Brightcove and more.

The summit agenda will include tracks on Advertising, the New Content Value Chain, Monetizing, Focus on Cable and Managing Content-based Services.

With participation from all players involved in delivering the digital media services of today and tomorrow, the Digital Commerce & Advertising is bringing the value chain together and taking advantage of the many synergies that exist among the various companies, whether it’s content producers, content aggregators and distributors or the providers themselves.
