TM Forum's Cable Interest Group has approved the formation of a sister group – the Cable Vendor Interest Group. Formed in July 2007, the Cable Interest Group is composed of Multiple System Operators (MSOs) from Europe and the U.S., and together the two groups will address needed support for data management, service delivery, revenue assurance and the management of services such as advertising, multimedia applications, interactive services and the introduction of personalized content.

In the next several months, the Cable Interest Group will be focusing on the management of interactive and addressable advertising, as well as revenue assurance, benchmarking, eTOM and the service delivery framework. The inaugural meeting of the group is scheduled for the 2008 Cable Congress Show at the end of April. However, there will be an informational meeting open to all vendors who currently have products in the Cable space and are interested in joining this newly formed group on March 31, 2008 at 10 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
