Seamless OSS/BSS Team Completes Final Deliverable

The Seamless OSS/BSS catalyst team has completed its final deliverable from the Management World Americas 2007 Catalyst demonstration. The project demonstrated the lifecycle of an IMS-based video telephony service offering across a range of devices including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phones and laptops.

This document reflects the findings of the Seamless OSS/BSS Catalyst Project that showed at Management World Americas in November 2007 to propose the general architecture, which showed how the OSS/BSS seamlessly supports IMS service. The project successfully demonstrated the flow, which included everything from subscribing and activation to charging and management of video-telephony service based on IMS across a range of devices including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phones and laptops. The document presents a unique industry reference model for seamless OSS/BSS support for IMS offerings in a multi-vendor systems environment.

Phase 2 of this Catalyst Project is planned for Management World Nice 2008. Click here if you are interested in participating.
