MORRISTOWN, NJ—October 24, 2011 —TM Forum today announced that its well-established, rapid-development Catalyst program at Management World Americas 2011 includes 40 companies collaborating on seven projects. The projects address a range of challenging industry issues, including multi-cloud development, cable services deployment, business analytics, standardized alarm management, cloud service management and customer experience management, among others.
Some of the world’s largest service providers, MSOs and suppliers, including AT&T, BT, Cox Communications, Deutsche Telecom, HP, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Telcordia and more, are participating in the Catalyst projects which will be demonstrated in the Forumville expo at Management World Americas 2011, held November 8-10 at The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
TM Forum’s Catalyst program takes an innovative approach to creating leading-edge solutions by providing service providers and MSOs, system integrators and industry suppliers with a neutral collaborative environment and a process for working together to rapidly solve common, critical industry challenges. These short-term projects culminate in live demonstrations at TM Forum’s Management World events and contribute to improving TM Forum best practices and standards.

The Catalyst demonstrations showcased at TM Forum’s Management World Americas 2011 are:
· Advancing Customer Experience Management Analytics
This project demonstrates a strategic and enhanced set of TM Forum Frameworx-based customer experience management indices that address the analysis, manipulation and structured presentation of complex data from across the enterprise.

Participants: Huawei, IBM, NetScout, Network Critical, The Now Factory, Ventraq
· Alarm Management for Converged Networks
This project defines requirements, use cases and a detailed interface specification for a standardized resource alarm management interface. In addition, it also demonstrates a resource implementation (RI) and compliance test kit (CTK) for easy implementation of the interface.

Participants: Comarch, HP, Netage Solutions, OpenNMS Group
· Enhanced Cloud Services Management
This Catalyst shows how service providers can differentiate themselves through cloud services by leveraging some of their most important assets and TM Forum Frameworx.
Participants: Amartus, Cisco, Comptel, InfoVista, MetraTech, Progress Software
· Executive Dashboard for Data Analytics and Business Benchmarking
This demonstration addresses a burning industry challenge by effectively transforming overloads of operational data into a dashboard that enables timely and actionable business decisions.

Participants: cVidya Networks, MDS Lavastorm Analytics, Subex, TMNG Global, WeDo Technologies
· Frameworx for New Cable Services
MSOs are challenged to launch new services faster while maintaining operational excellence. This catalyst demonstrates how to deliver new services such as TV Everywhere with increased speed to market, and improved operational effectiveness and monetization capabilities.

Participants: Cognizant, IBB Consulting, Incognito Software, Infonova, OpenVault, Oracle, Tektronix Communications, TMNG Global
· Multi-Cloud Developer Experience
This project demonstrates a multi-cloud environment with a rich suite of components and tools for application developers. By enabling developer ecosystems with a standard E2E service management solution that leverages IT and network capabilities, service providers can realize new revenues.

Participants: BaseN, IBM, Microsoft, Telcordia
· Using Frameworx to Integrate ITIL Processes
This project shows how ITIL Problem Management and ITIL Incident Management can be implemented using the Business Process Framework (eTOM) and Information Framework (SID). The demonstration highlights the straight-forward methodology and established techniques for applying ITIL alongside the TM Forum Business Process Framework.
