Frameworx 12.5 was officially released on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 during Management World Americas in Orlando. Adopted by 90% of the world’s largest service providers, TM Forum Frameworx best practices and standards provides the blueprint for effective, efficient business operations. Frameworx enables you to assess and optimize performance using a proven, service-oriented approach to operations and integration.

This latest release of TM Forum Frameworx was developed by more than 200 individuals from 118 TM Forum member companies across 45 projects. Their work resulted in more than 60 new features all designed to help service providers optimize their business operations to enable efficient and effective service delivery, management and monetization.

Release 12.5


Business Process Framework (eTOM) enhancements include new customer relationship management flows, ITIL linkages and supplier/partner updates and a brand new 3D model and viewer!

Information Framework (SID) now includes a new unified catalog model, security vulnerability scoring, performance management and supplier/partner updates.

Application Framework (TAM) additions include a new users’ guide; updates to several "customer" and sales and marketing areas.

Multi-Cloud Management "packs" for business managers and developers who need to  tackle comprehensive service level agreement (SLA) creation, implementation and monetization and manage partnerships to deliver multi-cloud services.

Simple Management API part of the Multi-Cloud Management Developer Pack, this ground breaking API introduces a common set of interface patterns for exchanging management information across multiple partners and introduces a NEW developer environment.

Customer Experience Management (CEM) guidebook outlines key principles in implementing CEM programs including a roadmap for developing CEM, definitions of customer centric processes, and descriptions of how customer experience is best measured and managed. It also contains a new maturity model that service providers can use to assess their CEM programs and nearly 250 metrics for measuring customer experience.

Revenue Management best practices now include a guide that quantifies the financial impact of revenue assurance activities. In addition, a new model for fraud provides a comprehensive view and classification system to help service providers understand, identify and quickly mitigate the most prevalent breaches.

Cyber Security capabilities of Frameworx got a major boost with a new model for the industry that makes security measureable through KPIs.  The initial release consists of patch management, mobile device management and human factors management. With these KPIs, security can be measured within an enterprise and defined as part of contract terms and SLAs between partners.

Product Lifecycle Management introductory guide contains a set of best practices to be used to design, develop, deploy and maintain the products and related services and resources that a communication service provider depends upon for sustainability and profitability.
