| Upon completion, delegates will be able to: |
- Articulate key aspects of the TM Forum NGOSS Frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM, TNA);
- Relate the NGOSS Frameworks to the SDF Reference Framework and to a practical SDF implementation;
- Be aware of the state of the art of the NGOSS Frameworks;
- Be aware of likely changes to the NGOSS Frameworks resulting from progress in SDF implementation;
- Articulate key aspects of NGOSS Contracts, including the relationship to SOA;
- Relate the use of NGOSS Contracts to a practical SDF implementation;
- Articulate key aspects of the TM Forum Interface Program (TIP) and its products;
- Relate the use of TIP interfaces to a practical SDF implementation;
- Relate the concepts of catalogues and meta-models to NGOSS Frameworks, Contracts and Interfaces.

Unit 1: SDF Impact on NGOSS Frameworks - Review of the NGOSS Frameworks, emphasizing the interactions between them;
- Analysis of the impact of SDF evolution on NGOSS Frameworks.
Unit 2: Implementation Considerations - Introduction and review of key NGOSS Contract concepts, including the convergence of NGOSS Frameworks in Contracts;
- Analysis of the relationships between SDF and NGOSS Contracts;
- Introduction and review of key TM Forum Interface Program (TIP) concepts;
- Analysis of the relationships between SDF and TIP interfaces.
Unit 3: Advanced Topics - Analysis of the relationships of catalogues, repositories and meta-models to NGOSS Frameworks, Contracts and Interfaces.

John Wilmes is Chief Technical Architect, Communications Sector, Progress Software, with a primary focus on Progress’ breakthrough data interoperability product, DataXtend Semantic Integrator (DXSI). John is co-chair of the TM Forum’s SID Technical Program, co-lead of the TM Forum Interface Program (TIP) Service Assurance and Catalog Management teams, and an active member of other TM Forum technical programs. He also represents Progress in the OASIS Telecommunications Services Member Section. John was previously CTO at Ceon Corporation. He is a member of the IEEE and holds a degree in Computer Science from Regis University. | |
