ITIL and eTOM: Building Bridges Web Presentation
Wednesday, August 06, 2008
The TM Forum lead a Web presentation about the convergence of two industry powerhouses.

The TM Forum and the itSMF are recognized around the world for their respective Business Process Framework (eTOM) and ITIL frameworks —each of which is widely deployed and recognized for its value in expediting development and deployment of convergent services. It was only a matter of time before current market demands drove the two juggernauts together: The eTOM defining a Business Process Framework and ITIL defining good practice in Service Management.

As OSS and IT converge, the eTOM and ITIL communities are overlapping.

In this Web presentation, Mike Kelly, TM Forum lead for eTOM and itSMF liaison joined Megan Pendlebury, service management executive, itSMF UK, to explain TR143, the recent Technical Report that outlines the strategy for bringing together eTOM and ITIL, and ensuring that integrated support is available to users of both frameworks.

Attendees learned solid techniques and methods for using eTOM to support services that have adopted ITIL. For more information, contact mkelly@tmforum.org.
