The Catalyst program is the TM Forum’s living lab -- enabling service providers, system integrators, and hardware/software vendors to work together to solve common, critical industry challenges. The program provides an opportunity for multi-company, multi-national teams to work together in a collaborative environment with emerging technologies and capabilities to solve some of the most pressing operational and interoperability issues. And, as in the past, the Catalyst program continues to directly support the New Generation Operations Systems and Software (NGOSS) program by implementing many of the NGOSS concepts and principles.
“The TM Forum’s Catalyst Program has been a great way for us to team with service providers and vendors to demonstrate how Pantero’s software enables the use of the SID in very practical ways to simplify and speed OSS/BSS integration in a service-oriented architecture. It is a great outcome for the industry when companies can come together in a non-commercial setting to demonstrate how emerging standards can be used in very concrete ways to deliver business benefits to the service provider community.”– John Petrie, Director, Business Development, Progress Software
“The TMW Catalyst program provided an unbiased, open and non-competitive environment to capture a Service Provider’s requirements and apply the best-of-breed technologies utilizing important constructs from eTOM, MTOSI, and other key TM Forum standards. BEA Systems not only used the results for subsequent business engagements, but since all the work was done through TM Forum, we were able to publicly showcase the results and take the architecture to other industry bodies.” – Doug Tait, Director, Worldwide Telecom Markets, BEA Systems
