The TM Forum identified the necessity to define a Work Program named Service Delivery Framework (SDF) with the objective of providing a reference in the industry on management of “next generation services”. The first document produced within this Work Program was the TM Forum TR 139 - “Service Delivery Framework Overview”, where a first definition of SDF was provided and a Reference Model for the SES Management Solution identified and described. This TM Forum technical report, TR139, provides a snap-shot of our current view of the SDF. The purpose of this document being to provide an anchor point for the communications industry, including assisting the many industry groups to work together to define the standards required for an effective service delivery framework for next generation services with a future minimal amount of overlap and duplication.
