When you join a Collaboration Project, it will be one of 3 types of efforts:
Article: Evolving TM Forum’s Collaboration Environment – Delivering Best Practices and Standards When the Industry Needs Them Interest Groups - New areas of interest
- Scoping/Analyzing a problem
- People sharing a “pain point” and sharing ideas of how to address it
- This is where “the future” starts to emerge...
- Formal output is not required – may just be discussions or may deliver a whitepaper, a recommendation for further work or a technical report
Standard Projects - Producing a formal output such as a guidebook, framework, or interface
- Run by members on a best-effort basis based on available member resources and contributions
- TM Forum staff liaisons work with members to assist with progressing project
Committed Resource/Strategic Projects - Business critical to the market and as a result called out specifically in the TM Forum's strategic plan
- Active engagement from buyers (e.g. Service Providers) meaning these are the highest priority projects
- Meet the business needs by delivering the right standards at the right time
- Committed resources from members and TM Forum staff; deliveries are actively driven to project plan
- Participants are eligible for becoming a "Contributing Member" and gaining the benefits of that program
